Access to District and Club Data Bases
Members can use www.dacdb.com to gain an in-depth view of their own membership records and other records of New Jersey Rotarians and their clubs via the District and Club Data Base site (DaCdb, pronounced, DAK-dee-bee). It is a database of member-, club-, committee-, and district information serving a master database for District 7510 information, and it can be updated by individual members, district chairs, club officers (e.g. club presidents & secretaries), and district administrators as each obtains his or her proper security level). The guiding philosophy is to enable a single database at the district level to replace individual clubs’ recordkeeping systems. (To cut to the chase, see How to use DaCdb.)
Many structured reports are available to the clubs as a by-product of this database (such as a current member roster and club directory with member photos, an itemized transmittal for making contributions to The Rotary Foundation for your club members Sustaining Member contributions, name badges for events (including spouse badges), and mailing labels. In addition, there are weekly attendance functions to check-in live with a bar code scanner (or a mouse click), along with all the necessary reports at the member and club level, with automatic calculation of the monthly attendance values. Also, Weekly Attendance interfaces directly into the DUES/invoicing module to generate "meal credits", when reporting make-ups that qualify.
How to use DaCdb: You login with your email address (which you specify on arrival at the page) and a password of your choice. You can add your club number, which is 5628, for an additional level of utility at the site.
Use DaCdb to pay club dues. You can even use the DaCdb page as a way to pay RI dues online at http://twitter.com/DaCdb/statuses/4522873274. You will be prompted to enroll on Twitter before you can use this feature.
